No guts, no glory: in conversation with Carley Smith on achieving optimal gut health

Join us at High for an evening with Carley Smith, AKA Fairy Gutmother®- Nutritional Therapist, Certified GAPS Practitioner, and Registered Yoga Teacher.

Carley became interested in health and nutrition after being diagnosed with Lyme disease and using food as medicine emphasizing gut health to help heal. She became so empowered in the progress in her healing just based on diet and lifestyle changes and focusing on gut health that she started Fairy Gutmother® so she could help spread awareness around nutrition and help others.

Carley is adamant about promoting the gut health lifestyle as it is more than a diet, rather, a combination of food and environment that play a role in the health of the microbiome. Join us as she reviews what constitutes a healthy gut and ways that you can implement changes into your daily life to help improve gut health.

Carley has been featured on The Dr. Oz Show and is a frequent guest and writer for Denver’s Modern Eater Show on iHeart Radio. Her articles have also been published in MindBodyGreen and Paleo Magazine. When she is not working or cooking up something delicious, she loves spending time in the mountains, hiking, yoga, reading and being with her family and friends and of course her dog Marty! How to Live In Sync with Your Body Clock: in conversation with Max Lowery

Join us at High for an evening with Max Lowery - athlete, personal trainer, and founder of the 2 Meal Day - to explore the merits of living in sync with your body clock. What does it mean for us on a daily basis? What are the benefits? And, what changes you make to have a profound positive impact on your own life?

Max is a Personal Trainer and Online Health Coach with a rapidly growing social media following. He trains high-profile celebrity clients, influencers and tastemakers including some of the world’s top models. After experimenting with intermittent fasting he realised the power it had to burn fat, boost energy levels and banish hunger pangs. He developed his own method known as “The 2-Meal Day” which is a fundamental part of his tailored online plans. Max uses his passion for real food to create delicious, simple meals with a focus on nutritional content.

Max believes that the modern environment takes us out of sync with our natural rhythms, and that this effects our physical and mental health. He teaches his clients how to incorporate methods which help to live more in sync with the body’s natural rhythms – sleep optimization, movement, intermittent fasting, light exposure, gut health, all of which Max will touch on in this Q&A.

In this talk, Max will teach you how to incorporate his tried and tested methods into your daily routine to bring balance back to busy and hectic lives and bring your lifestyle more in line with your body’s natural rhythm.

We will gather at the back of the cafe with kombucha and snacks from us! Hope you can join! Tickets here
