A closer look at the gut and immune system: in conversation with Nicola Moore

Getting to the root cause of food reactions, sensitivities and intolerances. A closer look at the gut and the immune system with Nicola Moore.

Nicola Moore is a leading nutritional therapist, educator and speaker. Nicola, who runs her own
practice as well as working as Amelia Freer’s associate in clinic, also holds the role of Head of Clinics
for the world renowned Institute for Optimum Nutrition.

Believing that sensible, safe and effective nutrition and lifestyle advice is a responsibility, and more
complex than simply dishing out ‘one size fits all’ recommendations, Nicola understands the
importance of working not only from the evidence base, but also from an individual perspective,
putting her client’s unique biochemistry and lifestyle at the heart of her clinical approach.

Nicola specialises in the gut, immunity and hormones and her ethos focusses on enabling food
tolerance, not restriction. Being a passionate foodie herself, Nicola is a strong believer that everyone
should have a positive experience with dietary change and her philosophy has always been to add
things in rather than take things out of the diet. “When a client finishes an appointment saying they
feel inspired and hungry I’m very, very happy!”

No guts, no glory: in conversation with Carley Smith on achieving optimal gut health

Join us at High for an evening with Carley Smith, AKA Fairy Gutmother®- Nutritional Therapist, Certified GAPS Practitioner, and Registered Yoga Teacher.

Carley became interested in health and nutrition after being diagnosed with Lyme disease and using food as medicine emphasizing gut health to help heal. She became so empowered in the progress in her healing just based on diet and lifestyle changes and focusing on gut health that she started Fairy Gutmother® so she could help spread awareness around nutrition and help others.

Carley is adamant about promoting the gut health lifestyle as it is more than a diet, rather, a combination of food and environment that play a role in the health of the microbiome. Join us as she reviews what constitutes a healthy gut and ways that you can implement changes into your daily life to help improve gut health.

Carley has been featured on The Dr. Oz Show and is a frequent guest and writer for Denver’s Modern Eater Show on iHeart Radio. Her articles have also been published in MindBodyGreen and Paleo Magazine. When she is not working or cooking up something delicious, she loves spending time in the mountains, hiking, yoga, reading and being with her family and friends and of course her dog Marty!
